Memory Companion

So the conversation is never lost.

A warm, simple tablet app for families facing memory loss — it listens, writes everything down, and answers her questions like a patient friend.

“Memory Companion never says you forgot.”

When someone you love starts losing their memory, every gentle correction — “no, Mom, that was Tuesday” — lands like an accusation. Memory Companion fills the gaps privately. She asks, it answers, and no one ever has to know what she couldn't remember. No corrections. No witnesses. Just knowing.

How it works

1

It listens, with everyone's consent

When a visitor stops by or family calls on speakerphone, one tap records the conversation — always announced, never hidden.

2

It writes down who said what

The conversation becomes a written memory — every voice labeled with the right name, kept safely on her tablet.

3

She just asks

“What time did Susan say she's picking me up?” The answer comes back warm, short, and true — with who said it, and when.

Built from love, not from a boardroom

Memory Companion started with my aunt. Memory loss runs deep through her generation of our family — she watched it take her brothers and sisters, and the fear of it makes every forgotten moment painful to name.

I couldn't stop what's coming. But I could build something that lets her stay herself — that remembers for her, without ever once making her feel corrected, watched, or diminished.

It turned out that's what every family in our position needs. So now I'm building it for yours too.
